Katha School of Entrepreneurship

In 2015 the British Asian Trust and John Lewis Foundation established a project to support vocational training accessed by people aged 14 to 50 years old living in the Govindpuri slum, Dehli to break the poverty cycle for themselves, their families and their communities

The Katha School of Entrepreneurship (KSE) programme offers marginalised people, especially women and young people, access income generation opportunities by providing vocational training (including skills relevant to the textile industry), and support to enter employment. KSE is especially effective because the courses it provides are both closely aligned with local employment opportunities and adapted to the needs of the local population.
