Watford Workshop - Skills for Life

Watford Workshop’s mission is to help break down the barriers that adults with disabilities face in getting into mainstream employment.  By providing a work environment based on an individual’s support needs, we build confidence, social skills and valuable work experience to help overcome these barriers.  Watford Workshop also recognises that teaching independent living skills enables their service users to lead a full and happy life. These independent living skills cover anything from reading and writing, money management, personal and home hygiene, cooking, washing/ironing, and recognising abuse, among many others.

A donation from the John Lewis Foundation is giving Watford Workshop the ability to continue to deliver vital skills training that support transition into sustainable mainstream employment and enhances the lives of individuals and their communities.
